Hoda Sherdy is a creative with an entrepreneurial spirit. She is a Senior at Boston University with a Hospitality Administration major and an Advertising minor. Hoda is currently residing in Boston but, was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt so she is fluent in both English and Arabic. Her passions for cooking and the hospitality industry stem from her vibrant and flavorful Egyptian culture, while her fascination with design continues to evolve as she ventures further into the world of digital art. 

Hoda enjoys working with food to create visually appealing images as well as exploring various aspects of photography and design. Recently, Hoda created an Instagram page, Kawthar’s Kitschen, where she shares original Middle-Eastern inspired recipes and interesting graphics related to Arab food and culture.

She previously worked with an independent restaurant in downtown Boston, Shed’s BBQ, as a Social Media Coordinator enhancing the company’s reach and photographing the delicious food. Recently, Hoda’s work with the School of Hospitality Administration Leadership Summit launched her into the world of events where she created digital and print content for the event, as well as connected with industry executives to participate. 

Hoda has had several leadership opportunities working as the School of Hospitality Administration Student Advisor, contributing to the 2019 Caribbean Hotel Investment Conference & Operations Summit in Jamaica as a student volunteer, attending the 2019 Forbes Under 30 Summit as a Forbes Under 30 Scholar, and serving as the current Vice President of the School of Hospitality Administration Government.
